The Mighty iPhone 3G!!!
Guys, this week we will be looking at one of the most talked gadget of the world, "The Mighty iPhone".
This little, in fact thinner, version of the previous bulky but revolutionary product, is successor of the Big Boss, the iPhone.
Like Apple said in their press release a week prior to the release of iPhone 3g, they did not disappoint us. They tried their best to make their product popular and i tried my best to give you guys the in-depth look and user experience of this gadget, like no other paid company.
Now, here are the facts:
Style
Like always, apple is meant for style, and beauty. If looks could kill, iPhone 3G would be the Serial Killer!!!
Apple continued their legacy of grace and glamor to their new product. This is the corner, in which apple has no parallel. Apple works hard to get their products accepted, and gets their reward in the form of great cheer. Look at the beauty of the phone. !!Interface
The interface is virtually the same as of iPhone because I didn't feel any difference it it. It's still superb!!

Display
The display is of same size, but, I think that there is a bit change in the contrast ratio of the touch screen. The screen looks more beautiful than ever. May be it is due to the fact that I wear spectacles now!!! Or possibly due to the fact that it is a new product by ...... hmmmm ......... APPLE!!!! Just jokin'. It is crisper and more brighter and has a bit quicker response that it's predecessor.

The Real Catch
Now, coming to the climax of this new apple tale. It, the iPhone, supports 3G networks, which means that it is capable of handling more and more complex formof data, while remaining in its slim limits!!!
The iPhone, can now be operated on any 3G capable network, without any hazzard!! You can transfer data more faster thatn usual and you can do everything to the extent to which it's limits allow you to do anything.Applications
Apple has started to give lisences to third parties to develop new and advanced applications for it's mighty product than apple could develop.
This gives major boost to iPhone sales, as earlier, the users were limited to apple only softwares, which were given to them at a cost!!
With the applications going third party, the iPhone is more vulnarable to viruses , but there will be a lot of cheep or cracked software available for users to utilize their iPhone.

The 3D look of the icons is amazing and it provides the feel that we are not holding the phone , but a tray, having a lot of biscuits in it!!
The Call
Call on iPhone, frankly speeking, is not the best one. Though apple guys are one of the best in the business to get sound quality good, but they couldn't do the job up to the required level , so the result is in front of us all. The poor sound quality.
The signals on a clear sunny day are the best, but are highly affected by the bad weather, like no other phone. here is a piece of advice: if you r buying iphone just to call, do not buy it, because it does not do its work upto the mark in that case!!!
Synchronization
iPhone 3G can now be synchronized whith a PC running a Windows XP/Vista easily. There was a problem with the iPhone in that cas, but it has been removed from it now.

iPod in a phone
The plus point for music lovers is that it has a biult-in ipod, which allows users to enjoy the ipod as well as iPhone!!!

Sum-Up Comments
If you are a music lover and the one who is techno geek, then it is a must have for you. But if you are a busy man, having no time to use its applications and al;l of it features, then it may not be a good choice for you.
Price
By looking at this monster, the price tag of $199 does not look ugly, but still it is priecy.

My advice, wait for about 100 days, the price will surely fall to about $150-$160, at which point, your investment will be worthwile.
Furthermore, wait for the new and revolutionary applications to come for you.
See Ya next week !!!!!!!!
Monday, June 9, 2008
Sorry fur being so late to post a new one! Actually I was preparing for my exams! These beasts aren't over yet, but They will end the very next week.
The change is always there! If u like it, don't B shy to post any kind of comment on the wall!!!
Find the change and tell me if it is good or bad!
Here U R!!
The first thing to be reviewed is..........
I Light Speaker
Now this is what u call one sparkling beauty!!!!
The I-Lit is the lava lamp of speakers; retro, relaxing and colourful with just a hint of kitsch. Standing tall and proud with sexy curves, the I-Lit has two high quality speakers, one on its base and one on its head. Plug the included cable into the headphone jack of your MP3/CD player and watch as the I-lit pulses up and down its length in warm, relaxing colours to the beat of your music. You can adjust the volume and light/sound sensitivity. The slightly iridescent body of the I-Lit gives a lovely sheen too. Weighing in at about half a dozen eggs, and much less likely to scramble, the I-Lit makes for a great little sound and light system for your tunes.
KONDO KHR-2 HV ROBOT
Now you can have soccer playing, dancing salsa fighter robot. The Kondo robot KHR-2 HV has improved its looks taking up a more Robocop-ish style. Its features are much more robust and curved then the square-like head the previous one had. And this pretty, very entertaining little robot can be yours for just $152. And there’s not one of us who didn’t want his or her own robot when growing up.
You can also buy him a couple of soccer strips to make the whole thing more real. They only cost $10 each. Now go on and buy yourself a little robotic friend.
Sony's Stringer OLED TV in US next year

Specifications
So we had a bit of bad, OLED-related news this morning. Now for the good. Sir Howard Stringer just announced plans to launch their 3-mm OLED TV into the US market. While it's not coming this year as we had hoped beyond hope, it will be offered for "limited sales" in the US (Sony's second launch market) sometime "next year." Just as soon as Sony ramps up their mass production capabilities. Stringer admits that the expensive, tiny TV is a "symbolic device" for Sony -- fine by us. After years of corporate stoicism we're perfectly happy to see Sony take some risk. Now please resurrect AIBO, Howie, and your innovation hat-trick will be complete.

These headphones utilize cutting-edge technology to help digitally reconstruct certain aspects of audio music that will greatly improve your listening experience. Close your eyes and enter a world of tranquility with headphones that can literally cancel out background noise and offer music of the highest quality. Let the tunes permeate your body.
THE USB BUTTERFLY WEBCAM

If you’re tired of boring gray and black electronics this cute little butterfly will be a refreshing change. That is if you’re female, I doubt many guys would be overly pleased by a brightly colored butterfly webcam. Then again I’m sure there are at least a couple exceptions to that. The webcam easily attaches to the back of your laptop and peers over the top of it to catch a glimpse of you while you type away at whoever you may be broadcasting to.
It also features a nice bendy neck giving you angles that some webcams might not want to bend to catch. In addition to being able to fasten to your laptop it can also sit on its stand. Which isn’t really all that different from every other webcam on this earth. The cam comes in both blue as well as green and is USB powered. Thankfully, it isn’t overpriced either. It’s being sold for $20, so anyone with the urge to have such an overly girly webcam won’t have a problem dealing with the price. You can pick it up at USB Geek which seems to have every possible bit of USB devices you could possible desire.
Pterosaur RC Dinosaur

Dinosaurs in their myriad of shapes and sizes popped their clogs long before we humans came on the scene, which is just as well, seeing as we’d have been wiped out as fast as a plate of tasty hors d’oeuvres at a hungry lizard party. We are nevertheless besotted with those behemoths, probably because they ruled the world for so long, and as such dinosaurs have become our palaeontological pop stars. They’re cool, there’s no two ways about it, dinosaurs are just plain cool. So when we came upon an R/C dinosaur that flew, well, you can imagine.
The Pterosaur, complete with silent p, is the very first Triassic flying machine. Flapping its wings, just as we would imagine any demented flying lizard is wont to do, the Pterosaur swoops, glides, turns, dives and makes passers by run screaming back to their caves. It charges up directly from the remote control handset, has a flight time of about 10 minutes per charge, and an astonishing range of up to 100ft. Flight control is remarkably easy, turning it left and right is a doddle, it has a super tough foam body, and its little eyes glow a devilish red as it flies. We’re fairly sure that this isn’t a true reflection of the real thing, but it does make it look mean and funky. Do be warned that when flying this in the park, whilst you will be having a great time, you may well make pigeons paranoid, and small children cry. Yes, it’s that much fun.
Features
- An RC version of the lizard-y Pterosaur dinosaur.
- Realistic (or so Jurassic Park would have us believe) flapping wings.
- Glowing red LED eyes.
- This dino will fly every which way with its multi directional remote.
- Made of EPP foam for robust yet lightweight flight.
- Remote control doubles as a charger.
- A charge time of 30 mins is equal to a flight time of 10mins.
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
- Suitable for ages 8 years+.
- Requires 6 x AA Batteries (not included).
- Size: 44 x 34 x 8cm.
ANEO ANWC0804 WEB CAMERA

Now here’s a webcam that does more than transmit your immediate surroundings to people on the other end of the Internet. This webcam features three PC video interactive games - Kungfu, Super Knight and Funny Stair. It is capable of capturing your real-time moves and translating them into action on the screen. Sounds as though this is something you would play in your own room as you certainly don’t want to be caught in an embarrassing position at the office while busting out some Bruce Lee moves, do you? This webcam retails for $33 a pop.
VOICE INTERACTIVE ALARM CLOCK
Forget about throwing your alarm clock or smashing it to keep it quiet when it rings - the new Voice Interactive Alarm Clock ought to add another novelty item to your bedroom.
This unique alarm clock uses advanced speech recognition technology that lets you easily set the time and alarm via voice commands and responds to queries such as What time is it with vocalized answers. The unit recognizes 10 spoken commands, including Set alarm, Set time, Check alarm, What is the date, Alarm sound (buzzer, chime, or bell), Stop (snooze for 5 minutes), and Temperature (current room temperature). All functions are controlled either by your voice or with a touch of the activation panel, allowing you to quickly set up and operate the clock without tedious and confusing button pressing. The backlit LCD shows the time and date in 2″-high numerals for optimal visibility day or night. The clock also has a voice-activated function that lulls you to sleep with the soothing sounds of the ocean, chirping birds, or a babbling brook.
You can choose to power this via an AC adapter or a trio of AAA batteries - I’d strongly recommend the former if you’re going to be at home all the time. $49.95 is the asking price for the Voice Interactive Alarm Clock. ( SORRY I HAVE'NT GOT ANY PHOTO OF IT)

Samsung and iPhone pushing tecnology to limits!!
Actually, this time I have come up with something VERY BIG. These new gadgets left everybody jaw-dropped when they were unveiled this week. Here is a quick look what I have been doing this week.
Eye-Fi expands into Geotaggin
Photographers on the go are probably familiar with Eye-Fi, which incorporates wireless connectivity into its flash-based SD memory cards. The 2GB cards turn just about any SD capable digital camera or other electronic into a wireless hub for transmitting data wirelessly. Well, not being willing to settle just for that, Eye-Fi is expanding its card roles into Geo Tagging and giving users the capability of automatically uploading photos from more than 10,000 hotspots while away from home or from their home wireless network.
In partnership with Skyhook Wireless, the Eye-Fi Explore uses embedded software that allows allow users to map where their photos were captured with automatic geotagging. Then, the Eye-Fi uses built-in wireless technology to locate nearby Wi-Fi access points when pictures are captured within the Skyhook coverage area. The Eye-Fi service uses this information to encode each photo with geographic locations, and the images arrive on the user’s computer and online sharing account automatically tagged.
“Geotagging makes it easier to manage and search for your photos on your computer, and it also makes them more fun and relevant to share on the Web. Tagging has exploded on sites like Picasa Web Albums and Flickr, where users can share with each other where a picture was taken,” said Ted Morgan, founder and CEO of Skyhook Wireless. “We’re thrilled to work with Eye-Fi to make it easier for users to map where an image was taken.”
The 2GB Eye-Fi Explore includes unlimited Web uploads, unlimited geotagging and one year of hotspot access at Wayport locations. The Eye-Fi Explore (MSRP $129.00) will be available at major online retailers beginning June 6, 2008.
The iPhone Becomes Surveillance Tool
In today’s security obsessed world, having a portable surveillance capability is always advantageous when trying to keep up with the bad guys. A new iPhone application can now allow security personnel to not only track security camera images, but also control them. Vegas will no doubt take notice.
Lextech is the company that publishes the software, made possible by the Apple iPhone Software development kit release and it not only gives users a wireless capability to keep watch from security cameras, but also control them using the multi touch screen capability of the iPhone. Users can zoom, tilt, and pan just like operating the camera from a joystick.
The possibilities are nearly endless with this kind of technology. If people can keep track via the Internet of their home while on vacation, or parents watching their kids from another room, or even keeping track of baby sitters and housekeepers, the personal benefits can be nearly endless. Me, I like the entertainment possibilities of using the software to view scenes while making movies without having to hover over a tv monitor off set.
And it may also have practical real world law enforcement and military applications as well as it would give security forces control of loitering surveillance platforms in real time.
Samsung Pushing HD to new LevelsSamsung’s new SC-HMX20 HD camcorder shoots in full high definition of 1920 × 1080 thanks to a 6.4-megapixel CMOS sensor that also has a stunning 8-megapixel still camera capability. It can also shoot what’s called super slow motion at 300 frames per second. Wow. That’s enough to help me with my golf swing or those overdue balloon bursting physics experiments for school.
The new SC-HMX20 also features a 10x zoom – which is a tad average and is disappointing considering the push the envelope attitude of the design. It’s 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD also doubles as a menu interface with easy to follow menus and setup screens. The SD-HMX20 uses SDHC cards through a built-in card slot along side it’s 8GB of internal memory. The high speed internal memory also means a faster startup time as the HMX20 powers on in a blazing 2.4 seconds. Battery life is also improved as a result. The camcorder also comes with a cradle with a built-in charging port, USB and TV-out cables.
The camera has a built in flash for low light still conditions, dual recording mode, and rotating grip.
Cost is about $850 USD .

SHARP'S INTEL ATOM BASED DEVICE
Since Intel announced their new Atom CPU, it’s been only a matter of time before someone actually released a tiny PC powered by the chip. We’ve already seen a concept gadget from Asus, however, Sharp is the first company to announce the release of one to the public.
This tiny computer/phone has been dubbed the D4 and features a 1.33GHz Atom CPU, 40GB hard drive, 1GH memory and will run Windows Vista. You’ll also get a 5-inch 1024×600 screen, WiFi, Bluetooth and more.
There are a few setbacks, one of which is that it is currently only slated for release in Japan. Also, you’ll need to shell out some big bucks for this one, it will be sold for around $1275 with a 2-year service contract.
BOSE MUSIC MONITOR

Many of us want a decent sound system at work. For those who are lucky enough to progress from the open plan world to their own office its become possible to have a small HiFi. However while you can leave behind the wearing of ear buds or headphones now you have your own small box, you still have issues of size and volume levels.
One obvious choice if the iPod of MP3 speaker set, these are often a compromise between the iPod housing and controls and the actual sound quality. Also you may want to listen to an online radio station if your company's IT department allow you to or you may just use the CD / DVD drive on your laptop.
Either way a PC speaker set that could also take an aux input from an MP3 player or iPod would seem a better solution. When we first heard we'd be getting a PC speaker set we had thought of small and cheap boxes with a weedy tinny sounding output.
But hold on there these PC speakers were coming from Bose and we could therefore guarantee that they would not be cheap. In fact we had a small sweepstake in the office to see just how much Bose could charge for a simple PC speaker set, none of us got it right. In fact no one could envision £279 yes £279 for a set of speakers to plug into a pc or laptop.
The Bose Computer MusicMonitor measures 122mm x 65mm x 123mm and each unit tips the scale at 500 grams so they are fairly serious bits of kit and do not in any way feel cheap. Styled in cool size and emblazoned with the Bose name they do have a certain sense of class which helps make the price tag not seem insane but they would have to sound amazing to be worth more than £150.
Set-up is as simple as one could expect with the right speaker both plugging into the mains and housing the main audio inputs. We started with both and iPod and a PC input and used some familiar tracks ranging from classical to some deep funk. Volume control is via buttons located on the side of the speaker or via a rather pointless and frankly ugly remote.
Time to fire up the Bose Music Monitors and hear what £279 buys you. Now the small enclosures don't promise much but boy do they pack a punch. The first thing that arouses your ears is the rich warm bass note which could have visitors to your office looking around the room for the source as its hard to believe that the small Bose units are producing it. Then there is the separation between the mid and upper ranges which is again well beyond what one would expect from mere PC speakers.
volume levels would fail to fill a large room but they are more than enough for even a big office and there is a remarkable lack of distortion even near the upper limits of the MusicMonitors.
After a few days of solid testing its fair to say the team were impressed, Bose have managed to build a small stereo system that punches well above its size. The clarity of the sound and the richness of all genres of music is quite stunning when you consider its coming from just two small boxes attached to a PC.
The key question is are they worth £279, the short answer is no, while these may be the best PC speakers on the market they are over priced by at least £100 compared to offerings from Logitech and others. Even Bose own iPod docks are cheaper and they have an aux input into which you can plug a PC input. Perhaps over time the Bose MusicMonitors will drop in price and can gain the best buy status they truly deserve.
C1 TOURBILLON WATCH

We've shown you some beautiful retro-digital watches recently, but this timepiece takes the prize for integrating real old technology: a tourbillon escapement. Invented in 1795, this type of escapement actually rotates inside its frame and was designed to counteract lop-sided gravity effects caused by the vertical position gentlemen's pocket watches usually sat in. Concord's C1 mechanical watch has this movement mounted outside the case and dial, and presumably it adds to time accuracy. As well as making the watch look damn fine. Will it go on sale? We don't know, but we suspect a massive price.

MICROSOFT DANGER

It looks like Microsoft's acquisition of Sidekick-maker Danger is complete and official. Whether or not this is good news or bad news for fans of the Sidekick has yet to be seen, but we'll try to stay positive and keep an open mind. Hit the jump for the full press release.

Techno Gadgets
It has been a tough week for me because I have been collecting all the data from the technological world just for you guys, who live their lives on technology.
Here is what I have found so far.
MICROSOFT SILVERLIGHT on NOKIA
When it comes to interactive mobile applications and an exciting mobile experience, Nokia phones are the best because of their powerful back-end operating system — Symbian OS.
Nokia never fails to surprise its users and always comes up with a new technology that becomes the corner stone for the future.
Likewise, Nokia has just recently announced through a press release that it is soon going to introduce Microsoft Silverlight for Nokia S60 and S40 Symbian powered devices. This will of course open a new gateway for developers allowing them to create rich, interactive applications that run on multiple platforms in a consistent and reliable way.
Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering next-generation media experiences and rich interactive applications. It is much like Adobe Flash but with a different name and a different company on its back.
Microsoft will demonstrate Silverlight on S60 during the opening keynote at Microsoft’s MIX08 conference on March 5 in Las Vegas. Silverlight is intended to be available to S60 developers later this year with initial service delivery anticipated shortly thereafter for all S60 licensees.
TOUCHSCREEN CONCEPT PHONE with BLUETOOH HEADSET
I know, everyone reading this would be saying “Oh Lord! not another Touchscreen concept phone” but Designer Sunman Kwon makes sure you get something more out of this phone than just a Touchscreen Interface System.
The concept phone is known as the Mooon and except for having a sleek design, a lustrous surface, a touchscreen interface and a digital camera, it also features a detachable Bluetooth Headset which makes the phone more than just a Touchscreen smartphone.
Take a look at some more concept designs of the phone originally displayed at YankoDesign.
IMAGE SEARCH BY VODAFONE THAT USES IMAGE AS INPUT
Tired to typing in your text? well Vodafone introduced Image Search! at the Cebit trade show in Germany, Vodafone is demonstrating Otello, a search engine that uses images as input.
Instead of entering text, now users can send pictures via MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) from their mobile phones and it will return the information relevant to the picture to the phone mobile, like a normal search engine! This picture can be anything from a book to a building or a Music CD’s cover!
According to Vodafone, it’s easy to just take a picture instead of typing in the whole text, keeping in mind the ease factor! and most of the cell phones doesn’t have a full keyboard.
Starting Monday Vodafone is conducting a trial with German paper Bild. Readers can find out more about specially-marked articles by photographing them with their mobile phone camera and sending the image to Bild.
This gives the reader access to additional multimedia content, such as photos or videos.
The next step for the service remains to be seen. Vodafone won’t comment on when Otello will be used in more than trial.

CONTROL YOUR iPOD WITH YOUR EYE-MOVEMENT.
All you need is an eyelid to play your favourite iPod tune…Yes, there’s a new Japanese remote control that actually works with the blink of an eye.
What happens is, when the person winks, sensors clipped to him (via Headphones or glasses) detect the move and then generate a electric signal and uses them to play/stop/rewind/skip your iPod. Kazuhiro Taniguchi of Osaka University’s Graduate School of Engineering Science, who developed the “KomeKami Switch” or “Temple Switch”, said.
- When you wink Strongly for 1 second with one eye, it will rewind!
- Blink the other eye strongly to skip to the next song.
- Close both eyes to pause and play.
When asked if someone accidentally blinks, what will happen? will it malfunction or something?
“It doesn’t happen at all. This system doesn’t malfunction even if the user eats, talks, walks and runs,” Taniguchi wrote, saying there were differences in movement between an accidental and an intentional blink or wink.
“The computer can judge the difference of those signals,” he added — even if other people around you may be left wondering what message your eyes are sending.

NOKIA MORPH- A CONCEPT PHONE
Presenting to you the Nokia Morph Phone Concept. This phone is like no other concept phone considering the technology its based on and its ever-green color.
The basic ideology behind the Nokia Morph is the use of nanotechnology based flexible materials, transparent electronics and self-cleaning surfaces. These new materials should enable Nokia to make a cell phone which is flexible, easy to use and can be folded into any shape.
Much like what we saw in Nokia 888, the Nokia Morph will be able to transform in any shape ranging from a circular bracelet mode to a landscape mode.
According to UnwiredView, the Nokia Morph concept was developed by Nokia research center in cooperation with Cambridge University and is on display at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
